A Kid Science Activity Using the Kitchen!
The kitchen is a great laboratory for scientific work kid! It contains water, heat and cold. Instruments such as glasses, bowls, dishes and other measuring instruments are available. Basic science experiments include a kitchen with an acid or base indicator (color) red cabbage and create electricity through a lemon.
If you do a scientific child that you are with the children, what do you do in an experience and why you do discuss it. Part of the process is to collect and record data. Do not forget safety precautions before beginning a scientific review kid!
To test whether certain foods are acidic or basic, a flag is used. To red cabbage indicator, you must cut the cabbage into quarters and give grate into a bowl. Add 1-2 cups of water to cover cabbage. Let the cabbage stand in the water, stirring occasionally, until moist. When the water is a strong red, remove the carbon and the solution of water through a sieve into a glass.
Apply a small amount of solution into a small white bowl. Test substance that you know is an acid (lemon juice or vinegar) and you know, to a base (sodium hydroxide) first to see the color changes accordingly.
