Science Experiment

The kitchen is a great laboratory for scientific work kid! It contains water, heat and cold. Instruments such as glasses, bowls, dishes and other measuring instruments are available. Basic science experiments include a kitchen with an acid or base indicator (color) red cabbage and create electricity through a lemon.

If you do a scientific child that you are with the children, what do you do in an experience and why you do discuss it. Part of the process is to collect and record data. Do not forget safety precautions before beginning a scientific review kid!

To test whether certain foods are acidic or basic, a flag is used. To red cabbage indicator, you must cut the cabbage into quarters and give grate into a bowl. Add 1-2 cups of water to cover cabbage. Let the cabbage stand in the water, stirring occasionally, until moist. When the water is a strong red, remove the carbon and the solution of water through a sieve into a glass.

Apply a small amount of solution into a small white bowl. Test substance that you know is an acid (lemon juice or vinegar) and you know, to a base (sodium hydroxide) first to see the color changes accordingly. Foods other tests such as liquid canned fruit or vegetables, cream of tartar, egg whites, tomatoes, etc.

Another child, scientific activity is to use a lemon, to demonstrate how to generate battery power. Set up a paper clip and insert a metal end into the lemon. Take a 6 “-8″ length of copper pipe and remove the insulation from both ends. Plug one end into the lemon.

Now hold down the exposed ends of the wire and paper clip and touch your tongue at the same time. You feel a tingling sensation caused by electricity. Discuss how a battery two kinds of metal and an acid, to carry through the water (the language) to complete an electrical circuit must.
